WHAT IS YOUR "WHY"?

I’ll help you get there—through challenge, exploration, and play.

There are so many great reasons to build strength and engage in effective exercise! Improve movement, improve, energy, prevent injury, uplevel in your chosen sport; enhance performance; prolong independent aging; improve mood, memory, and mental focus; manage menopause symptoms.

I work one-on-one with clients to achieve their goals and increase strength, ability, and freedom.

  • We can meet virtually via Zoom or Google Meet, and/or

  • in person at the Strong Able Free playground (located between Franktown and Smiths Falls, Ontario), and,

  • every program and each session is custom designed for you.

Please note that I require a minimum of two sessions per week with you.*

I want to get to know YOU

We always begin here, with a comprehensive intake form and follow-up consultation.  I need to know your goals, needs, abilities and preferences so I can design a program that is effective, enjoyable and tailored to you!  Submit the short intake form on the CONTACT page so we can start the conversation.

Stacey is a sophisticated trainer who understands the details of physiology and kinesiology. Her programs kept me in overall shape—more than just strength, she improved and maintained my mobility, flexibility, stability, and balance."

Greg, lawyer & business professional

WHAT TO EXPECT

I will design an exercise program and work one-on-one with you toward your goals. But don’t expect a traditional personal training session here! In a Strong Able Free session, we will accomplish your goals through challenge, exploration, and play.

Rooted in each client’s goals, preferences, and sources of happiness, my program design incorporates a range of modalities, including:

  • Strength (muscular and cardiovascular)

  • Mobility

  • Balance

  • Flexibility

  • Coordination

  • Foundational movement patterns; squat, lunge, bend, push, pull, rotate.

  • Play: creative locomotion, ball play, aerial silks, hula hoops, and more

“Stacey is always positive and completely focused on you as a client. Working out with her is like a game or a fun activity. The sessions are playful and something to look forward to."

Karen, senior-level professional and landlord

BENEFITS

Working out with a personal trainer has many benefits, including motivation, accountability, variety, and specialized knowledge. When you work with me, you also get:

  • Enjoyment—If it’s not fun, you probably won’t stick with it, so I design your program around what you enjoy. This may mean including certain types of movement, toys, challenges, conversation, scenery, or music.

  • Discovery & challenge—We hit plateaus as our bodies and brains adapt, so surprise is always part of a Strong Able Free session. By including new and unfamiliar movements and exercises, we will discover how to push the limits of your current ability and keep you progressing.

  • Goal tracking—I come to every session prepared. You will stay on track as I chart your progress, pre-plan each workout, and adjust your program as needed.

  • An expert resource—Fitness and science media can be overwhelming and I enjoy helping others to navigate and interpret the information. I do this here in my blog, through my newsletter, and in sessions with clients. In addition, I seek out high-quality information about health in a broad sense, including women’s health, ageing, the climate, and animal welfare.

Throughout your journey of fitness, Stacey will answer questions and address things like injuries or plateaus that come up on a day-to-day or week-to-week basis. She is an excellent resource with a lot of information and education, and she is happy to share it."
